TMC admin panel and staff tools

TMC keeps three things in a shape nothing else does

A character holds several jobs at once, its inventory is two levels deep, and on a default configuration its cash is an item rather than a balance. A bridge written as though TMC were QBCore would take jobs away from people and find an empty inventory.

What FiveStaff sees on TMC

  • Characters by citizen id
  • Money your accounts, cash as an item
  • Jobs several per character
  • Items TMC’s own inventory
  • Vehicles by VIN

Framework data

What FiveStaff reads and changes on TMC

What FiveStaff reads

  • The character and its citizen id
  • Every job the character holds, and which one they are on duty for
  • The inventory, slot by slot and stack by stack
  • Balances on the accounts your server has set up, including cash held as an item
  • Owned vehicles, from TMC’s own vehicles table

What staff can change

  • Set an item count, through the core’s own functions
  • Set a balance on an account TMC keeps
  • Change the job the character is on, or add one, without touching the others
  • Give or take an owned vehicle

Every one of these goes through the same pipeline as a ban: permission-checked and written to the audit log with what it was before. Item, money, job and vehicle edits can be put back in one press from the player’s profile.

In the panel

The screens your staff will use

Real screens from the panel, taken on our demo server, which runs QBCore. On yours, the accounts and jobs are TMC’s own.

One character: a screen from the FiveStaff panel
One character Each money account along the top, their vehicles, inventory and log in tabs, and who they are beside it, with a card to change something.
Every character: a screen from the FiveStaff panel
Every character Search by name, citizen id, licence or phone number, and filter by job. Read from your game database, so characters who are offline are here too.
The player log: a screen from the FiveStaff panel
The player log Money, items, vehicles and deaths, searchable by player, item, amount and time, with what is collected beside it.
Every owned vehicle: a screen from the FiveStaff panel
Every owned vehicle Every owned vehicle on the server, and where it is.
One page per player: a screen from the FiveStaff panel
One page per player Their history newest first, their characters, reports, bans and trust in tabs, and a card to act on them.

Player log

What the player log picks up on TMC

FiveStaff listens on TMC for the money event the QBCore family fires, and for everything every server gets.

From TMC

  • Money changes TMC reports on the QBCore family’s money event, with the reason given
  • Wages marked as wages, so a payday can be filtered out

On every server

  • Joins and leaves
  • Deaths and kills, from the game itself: how, by whom and with what
  • txAdmin’s scheduled restarts and shutdowns, and resources stopped or started by hand
  • Every line your scripts already send to qb-log, kept word for word
  • Your own events, with one line of Lua: exports.fivestaff:logEvent
Your own script, server side
-- one line, and it is searchable by item and amount
exports.fivestaff:logEvent(source, 'drugs.weed.sold', {
    item = 'weed_brick', amount = 5, price = 2500
})

The log is off until you switch it on, and a category you leave off costs your server nothing. The player log and alerts

The scripts it works with on TMC

A server picks its inventory, its ambulance job and its clothing separately from its framework. FiveStaff looks for what is actually running and works through it.

Heal and Revive

Revive goes through your ambulance script, so its own death screen and timers are cleared too, rather than a player being stood up the script still thinks is dead.

  • qbx_medical
  • qb-ambulancejob
  • ps-ambulancejob
  • esx_ambulancejob
  • wasabi_ambulance
  • wasabi_ambulance_v2
  • tk_ambulancejob
  • sky_ambulancejob
  • brutal_ambulancejob
  • osp_ambulance
  • p_ambulancejob
  • plt_ambulance_job

The small print

Where TMC is different

The details a tool gets wrong when it treats every framework as the same one, and what FiveStaff does instead.

A character has many jobs, and an edit keeps the rest

Where every other framework keeps one job, TMC keeps a list with an on-duty flag. The panel shows the one they are on duty for, or the first they hold, and changing it edits that entry or adds one — it never writes the list back as a single job, which is how a tool takes four jobs off somebody by saving one.

Its inventory is its own

TMC’s items live in the core’s player data in a shape no third-party inventory writes, and its inventory resource is a front end onto the core. So FiveStaff calls those functions rather than detecting an inventory resource, as it does for QBCore and ESX.

Bank belongs to your banking resource, not to TMC

TMC ships with one money account, cash, and you add the rest. A bank balance lives in a separate banking resource with accounts of its own, so there is nothing in a character’s row to read or change. A bank edit is refused with that sentence rather than written somewhere it will never be read.

A vehicle given back is a new one

TMC keys an owned vehicle by its VIN and keeps the plate inside its properties. Undoing a removal gives the character the same model and plate under a new VIN, in your default garage, without the mods or the wear the old one had. The panel keeps a record of what the old one was.

Install

Put it on your TMC server

One resource, a few lines in server.cfg, and no changes to your framework or your scripts.

  1. 1

    Add your server

Sign in to the panel with Discord, press Add server, give it a name and choose a plan.

  2. 2

    Download the resource

On your server’s dashboard, press Download the resource. The fivestaff folder inside already holds your server key, so there is nothing to fill in.

  3. 3

    Add it to server.cfg

Upload the folder to your resources, keeping its name exactly fivestaff, and add the lines opposite anywhere after TMC’s core starts.

  4. 4

    Restart and check

Restart, or type ensure fivestaff in the server console. Within seconds the dashboard says Online. FiveStaff finds TMC from its core resource, whether it is installed as core or as tmc.

  5. 5

    Connect your game database

Under Settings, Database, connect a read-only database user and choose Other as the table layout. Pick TMC’s tables yourself on any plan, or let FiveStaff work them out on Pro, and confirm before anything is read.

Only if it guessed wrong

Most servers never need these. They go above ensure fivestaff.

set fivestaff_framework "tmc"

When FiveStaff starts, the server console says which framework and inventory it is using. Try one edit on a test character before your staff use it on a player.

Why staff use it

Built for the people who keep a TMC server fair

A record of every player, a log of every action, and powers handed out one at a time.

One record for every player

Whichever character somebody is on, their warnings, bans, reports and notes sit on one profile, and a ban checks every identifier they connect with — so a new account is not a fresh start on your TMC server.

Nobody needs in-game admin

Your team is a list in the panel. Staff act from the panel, from Discord or in game with /staff, and you hand out no ace permissions to make that work.

Each power is its own permission

Edit money, Edit inventories, Edit vehicles and Edit jobs are separate permissions, so a trial moderator can read the player log without being able to set a balance.

Every change has a before

The audit log records who did what and what it was before, and item, money, job and vehicle edits can be put back in one press.

Questions people ask first

Does FiveStaff find TMC on its own?

Yes, from its core resource, whether it is installed as core or as tmc. A server running another framework that names itself is taken to be that framework first, because core is a name anybody’s resource could have.

Will changing a job take a character’s other jobs away?

No. The panel shows the job they are on duty for, or the first they hold, and a change edits that entry or adds a new one. Every other job stays as it was.

Our server keeps cash as an item. Will balances be right?

Yes. FiveStaff asks TMC how your server is set up, and for an offline character it reads and changes the cash item rather than a balance column that is always nought.

Can staff change a bank balance?

Not through TMC. Bank accounts belong to your banking resource, which keeps them outside the character, so a bank edit is refused with a sentence saying so.

What does the Characters screen need?

Connect your game database under Settings, Database, and choose Other as the table layout. You can pick TMC’s tables yourself on any plan, or let FiveStaff work them out on Pro, and nothing is read until you confirm it.
